Today’s Friday Finish takes me back… I finished this project a long time ago. It was my first project that I did Five Minute Stitch videos on, and it was the first project I decided I would take progress pictures on!

Today’s Term of the Week was posted on my Instagram feed, and I decided I must do a Term of the Week on it! It fits so many so well.
So, what does the word Craftermath mean? It’s pretty basic. A Craftermath is the aftermath of a particularly intense crafting session. It is most often demonstrated by your crafting area of choice being a total disaster.
I’m sure we’ve all been there. You get into a particular groove and you can just go and go and go! And when you’re finished, your area looks like a tornado blew through it. There are fabric and bits of thread everywhere. I never look forward to cleaning up once I’ve had a long stitching session, as it usually gets pretty messy! Especially if I kitted up the project at the same time as well.

“Term of the Week” is a weekly blog post highlighting a new word or phrase commonly used among cross-stitchers but not found in an ordinary dictionary. These posts are to help explain the words’ meanings in context and provide a resource for anyone wondering what a term like “frogging” means. Check back every Thursday!

In today’s episode, I finish out my attempt at the solely Danish method of stitching. I didn’t actually do it wrong, I just didn’t have to do it quite as much as I did.
Families Photo Album: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4

Here is the finale on the Families Photo Album piece! It was a bit of a trial… I should have done 18 count instead of 16 count to get the size I wanted, but I didn’t realize I miscalculated until it was too late. I made due with what I had, and I think it turned out all right, all things considered.

I was able to complete this piece in time for Christmas… it was all wrapped and everything! But then I didn’t actually see the recipient at all. Even now months later we haven’t seen each other! I may need to just send it in the mail so he’ll get it…
Anyway, here is some more of the progress on this piece!

In today’s episode, I try out the Danish Method of stitching only to not have to carry my floss at all and it… only sort of works.
Little Princess: Part 1, Part 2
I actually finished this piece on January 2nd of this year, but it’s taken me awhile to get the pictures all together. I need a better picture organizing system. So here is the last Progress Report for the Little Princess piece!
