Progress Report: Home Sweet Home Code, Start To Finish
Progress Report: Home Sweet Home Code
Today’s Progress Report is a project based on CSS coding that I bought on Etsy! My boyfriend studied Computer Science in college. When I saw this chart I had to get it to stitch it for him. A cool variation of the usual Home Sweet Home saying written in code was right up our alley!
I started with the black thread and the easy squares and some of the lettering:
I realized pretty quickly that my hoop wouldn’t work to stitch the whole project with. I ran out of room after two more words:
So I switched to my q-snap for the next word:
With that the piece is already more than half done! I finished that word and moved up to the main line of code next:
And with two more words, this piece is done!
Final Progress Report:
Unfortunately, because the project didn’t fit in the hoop very well, the piece needed washed and ironed before I could even think of framing it. But this was a great stitch! The chart was easy to read and the piece fast to stitch. I really enjoyed it!
Have you done this chart before? Did you enjoying stitching it? Did you stitch it for yourself or give it away to someone else? Leave a comment below or hop on Facebook to let us know!
Progress Report is an update on all my stitching habits: from kits, to stitching, to the finishing process, and more! Right now the blog features a random collection of all my WIPs and UFOs.
By the way – to keep up on Little Thread Crafts stitching news and get pictures, updates, and more that don’t appear on the blog until much later, follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram! I would greatly appreciate it!
